A 5 Step Framework To Get Ready For 2026
Given that it’s December, I thought it’d be a good time to talk about setting goals and how I’m getting ready for 2026.
Last year I started using a new framework to define and evaluate my life across key areas. It helped me gain clarity on what I’m aiming for in each category and identify the ones that weren’t as important as I thought.
I’m always experimenting with different frameworks but I’ll be following this same approach this year.
Let’s get right into it.
Step 1. Define Your Key Areas
I break down my life into 10 core pillars covering different topics such as relationships, physical and digital presence, finances, geographic freedom and more.
If you want to go deep, go for it. But if you want to keep things simple I recommend focusing on 3 foundational areas:
- Health
- Wealth
- Relationships
All other areas stem from these anyway. If you can’t improve these, nothing else matters.
Step 2. Define The Foundation
For each area, write down why it’s important to you.
Be specific and write down as many reasons as you can for each one.
Examples from my list:
Physical Strength & Health
- The healthier I am, the more energy I have to make more money, enjoy amazing experiences with the people close to me and make an impact in their lives.
- The stronger my health the more value I can bring to the world. If I’m healthy I can care and provide for my loved ones and the people around me.
Wealth
- Money represents freedom to me. With money I am free to pursue my most fulfilling interests.
- The more I earn the more I can impact the lives of others. I can selfishly give away without sacrificing my well being.
If you struggle to come up with strong reasons that’s a sign the area might not be as important as you think or you haven’t thought about it deeply enough.
Step 3. Define Your Vision
If you could have it all, what does your ideal manifestation of each area look like?
Remember to be as specific as possible.
Examples:
Health & Fitness
- I am full of energy each and every day. I have zero injuries or illnesses and never experience brain fog or tiredness.
Competence
- I live a life of unlimited creation, with the freedom to pursue new experiences and expand my personal growth as much as possible.
Thought Leadership
- I have over 1M followers across my Social Media platforms, leading a community where I help men looking to achieve financial independence and live life on their own terms.
Aim high. You will only grow as big as you allow yourself to dream.
Step 4. Define the strategy
This is where you go from vision to action.
Take your ideals and break them down into strategy and tactics.
Health & Fitness
- I train one aspect of my physical fitness daily, focusing on areas such as strength, mobility, flexibility and boxing skills.
Relationships
- I analyze my mood and reactions whenever I have a disagreement. That way I can learn how to better handle similar situations in the future.
Time Freedom
- I hire an Executive Assistant to help me with all of my online admin, freeing up my time to only focus on the highest revenue generating tasks only.
Focus on your actions no matter how small they may be. Consistency compounds.
Step 5. Use it to set your actual yearly goals
Once you’re clear on the why, the ideal and the strategy, your goals for next year become obvious.
Now you’re no longer guessing and you’re aligning your actions with a defined vision.
Most people start with goals and hope things fall into place.
This framework starts with the foundation so your goals write themselves.
Hope you got some value on this one.
