My Top 5 Lessons From 2025
I didn’t hit the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year.
2025 was actually the most challenging year I’ve had in the last 5 years. But challenges force growth and I certainly got plenty of lessons.
Below are the 5 most important lessons I learned this year:
- Life Will Never Slow Down
There will always be more commitments, responsibilities and challenges waiting for you. Life does not clear its schedule so you can work on yourself.
If you don’t make time for your goals, they simply will not happen.
- Every Experience Has An End
I reflected on this one after the death of a family member.
Time spent angry, resentful or disconnected is time you will never get back.
Enjoy the sunshine while it’s there and don’t stress so much over the rainy days.
- Conviction In Your Own Beliefs More Than Anyone Else’s
It’s good to respect others for their achievements and learn from them, but it’s dangerous to completely outsource your values and beliefs to them.
You’re the one who lives with the consequences of your actions.
- Working Smart Is Knowing What To Work Hard On
Struggle doesn’t automatically mean progress. Complexity is often a signal of inefficiency, not mastery.
Choosing harder paths when simpler ones are available is usually ego disguised as discipline.
- You Must Be Selfish Before You Can Be Selfless
When I don’t sleep well or fail to take care of myself, I show up worse for my partner, my loved ones and my work.
Protect your energy so you can give your best to everyone around you.
Wishing you all a successful 2026.
