Why don't you just solve your problems?
I recently had a conversation with my mentor where I was sharing how I’ve been feeling stuck lately.
Stuck in a loop of overthinking with no meaningful progress towards my goals.
It was basically me complaining, sharing the “perceived” obstacles in my way and just expressing general frustration.
I laid it all out.
My mentor just sat there listening and with a sigh he simply asked me:
“Why don’t you just solve your problems?”
That hit me like a truck.
Not because it was something I hadn’t heard before, but because in that moment it broke my thought pattern.
It forced me to get out of my own head and see the obvious truth:
Talking about your problems isn’t solving your problems.
That phrase was a reset button for me. I realized how much time I was wasting analyzing my situation, waiting for more information instead of just taking action.
From that conversation I decided to completely cut the noise.
I cut down all external sources of advice, business gurus, personal development influencers, etc. that I was using as an excuse to look for the “best” way to move forward when all I had to do was take the next step.
No new podcast is going to fix your business model.
Reading another book won’t grow your bank account.
No “secret” framework will replace consistent execution.
If you’ve ever found yourself stuck in a loop spinning your wheels, more information won’t save you. Action will.
Not tomorrow. Not after another video. Today.
